Resolution video and Web sites
Written by Alex May 5, 2010 - 1:42 pmWhen designing a Web site usually think aesthetics and content, but few stop to think what size give the page to allow users to fully enjoy the content. It may be useful then a visit to:
GoogleLabs an interesting application that superimposes a transparency to a site that shows the most common video resolutions and the corresponding percentages of users who use it.
One can thus appreciate how few users will be able to see the area in which we cleverly put the most important part of the site ... and understand why the upper left corner of the video is the screen space premium.

Cymbolism - association of words and colors
Written by Alex October 4, 2008 - 12:17 pmIf you were to design a site that gives the feeling of "happiness" at first sight, what colors would you choose?

You can see Cymbolism - an attempt to "quantify the association between colors and words, to simplify designers the best choice of colors to achieve a certain emotional effect."
Readers can indicate for each color the words that associate with and then see the color combinations that make you think in terms of â € œfeliceâ € , â € œtristeâ € , â € œassolatoâ € or â € € œgelosoâ then evaluate the results in prospect of choosing colors for a given site.

HTML and special characters
Written by Alex June 24, 2008 - 4:28 pmThe special html characters (entities) are those characters that can not be written directly with the keyboard, because it could affect the proper display of the page.
Like other programming languages or made video, html offers a list of special characters (reserved words) and their code to write on the screen.
The list of special characters in the table below is a revision of ISO and HTML Entity Code column shows the name of the entity and to the right the resulting character on screen. You can also use the convention with the ISO code. Another solution is to resort to postable , Elliot Swan, a tool that given a character of "abnormal" on the entity corresponding to the convertete.
