To celebrate the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics about to start, Google has digitized and made it possible to travel virtually snowmobile tracks that host races of the Olympics. You can see the ski slopes and other facilities created for the games.

To use a snowmobile to get Google Street View just this page where you can access a list of all tracks and installations displayed:

Application that lets you view images from the web, typically from webcam. You can choose your sources and add to the default. It also allows you to save the displayed images in a folder, as this overview from Nassfeld:

Skiwebcam is a free application that you can download from here (1.3MB).

The installation is to copy the downloaded file in its folder, wherever you want, and run it from there, to uninstall SkiWebCam delete this folder. You can also download a

date list of Webcams (2.4 KiB, 663 hits)

To add / edit / delete the source image, click with the right button on the list to the right and use the menu that appears.

You can also drag an image displayed in Firefox and drop it on the list: will request the description and the URL will be saved in the list.

SkiWebCam startup shows a webcam randomly chosen from the list.
