Sometimes need to change their DNS because they let us walk and not sail more; as already mentioned , it is not easy to find the IP addresses of servers free and reliable, like Google (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4) or OpenDNS (208.67 .222.222 / 208.67.220.220). Someone (www.sordum.com) shares this periodic requirement and has decided to create a minitool free DNS Jumper , to change the flight information without having to remember anything, not even the procedure.

The button "Default Dns" is used to set the DNS servers as the choice for "Obtain DNS server address automatically", the "Wsh" is used to disable the shell scripting as a measure of security with Norton Script Enabled / Disabler.

Few know what are the DNS (Domain Name Servers) though everyone on the network you use them at all times.

When writing an address as www.google.it the navigator, it must be converted into a numeric address, conventionally represented with four groups of hexadecimal digits, such as 62.149.140.26, because an address as you type in http://62.149.140.26 navigation bar leads to an actual site. The conversion is the work of a domain name server (DNS) that manages the database of the correspondence between names and numeric addresses. Because no DNS server (normally handled by ISP) contains neither will ever contain all the addresses on the network, often to resolve a DNS address needs to obtain information from another DNS and so on in a cascade until you find the information sought, with time-consuming.

If your ISP's DNS server is slow, your browsing will be slow because the time of the address translation will add to the load time of sites.

To solve this and other problems you can use a free service called OpenDNS and reliable: simply configure their DNS addresses as follows:

You double-click the network icon in the lower right system tray icon and choose Properties, choose from the list the TCP / IP and then you change addresses as above in 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 (possibly on your router if you have one).
